Alex Harper is bird biologist and educator based in Henderson, Nevada. He has experience as a biologist studying bird populations across the western United States, guiding remote wilderness in search of wildlife and wild places as a professional guide, and various educational roles. Alex read a book called “The Nature Fix” by Florence Williams at a time when he was ready for a change. He switched gears in 2021 and began Nature in Mind, a business with a mission to help people connect with nature in cities. It became clear to him that it was possible to help biodiversity by helping people to learn to love what’s around them.
